Flying With Poles
Let's face it, traveling with pole vaulting poles will always be
a bit of a challenge. Increased security concerns have made transporting
poles via air a greater challenge than in the past. Many airlines
will no longer accept poles as checked baggage, and most airlines
no longer allow comercial passengers to use air cargo.
Fortunately, there are several airlines willing to work with the
special needs of pole vaulters. This web page will be updated with
information on various airlines' policies regarding pole vaulting
poles. Please email me with any corrections or updated information
