Re: Shoulder/Back Injury
Adding on to my last post, it sounds like you are on your way to having shoulder impingement syndrome. Many links around the internet about it. It's also called Swimmer's or Thrower's Shoulder. It is a passive recovery, but after it starts to feel better, work into rehab.

Re: Shoulder/Back Injury
Even though this post is old, I am glad to help someone in the future with this problem. Long story short, this is inflammation in your upper back and shoulder. Personally this came from poor posture and years of vaulting. Try to get heat on it (if possible), massage it, and stretch it before jumpin...

Re: Pole Vault Trainers?
Most running stores aren't going to fully understand the preferences of a pole vaulter. I'm trying to get some specific shoes from first hand experiences. I am also wondering if there is anything else pole vaulters should look for in a shoe. I feel like this topic is just too under looked.

Pole Vault Trainers?
I have seen many questions regarding appropriate spikes for pole vaulting, but no trainers (or flats) for the event. I come here in hopes of trying to find a definite answer. It is safe to say that pole vaulters want a heel that has good support, and most of us do not want a heavy shoe for personal ...

Just a little fun
This is just a little video that I made of me and a friend jumping... together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnTOPo6mHEE **Keep in mind, this can be dangerous and I don't recommend trying any of this, ESPECIALLY without a coach and an EXTREMELY safe pole vaulting facility.** Me and my friend knew ...

Re: Turf Toe?
I get this occasionally - started up last year. I'm not an expert, but you'll need a few days, maybe even a week, of rest. For the amount of pain that it causes, I generally just ignore it; mine never hurt enough or caused any problems in my run. Once again, I'm not positive, but I doubt it can/will...
