Re: Passing of Altius

I too add my condolences to Jenny and family. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time. I knew Alan through his pole vault camps here in the United States and then through his posts on PVP and eventually through some email exchanges. He helped this old man become a better vaulter and I am ind...

Re: USATF Masters National Championships

UPDATE: Attention vaulters planning to attend the Masters National Champs next week. Just in case you don't want to deal with transporting your poles, there will be a large inventory of poles at the pit which you can rent. This is coordinated by Noel Ruebel (NoelRuebel@fcds.org), the meet director. ...

Re: MASTERS PV SUMMIT NOW A REALITY *Edited*

Bubba had an idea for a t-shirt design and asked my wife Jodi to bring it to fruition. (As a side note, she designed a couple of the Pole Vault Power t-shirts a few years back.) Back on topic, her design is shown below and is available on many styles of shirts, hats and mugs at her Zazzle store at h...

Re: Wolfgang Ritte sets M60 outdoor World Record

I had intended to make an update post about Wolfgang's amazing feats a while back. I didn't get to it then so here it is now. As Wolfgang wrote in an email, in May he was competing in ideal conditions. As he progressed and was ready to attempt to improve his WR, he had the bar set to 4.12, a modest ...

Wolfgang Ritte sets M60 outdoor World Record

It was only a matter of time (and not much time at that) before Wolfgang would set the M60 age group record. He did it in style with the jump as seen in this video http://www.evaa.ch/files/movies/WolfgangRitte_Wipperfuerth.mov vaulting 4.11m, improving the record by 7cm! Congratulations Wolfgang! :y...

Re: AGENDA 21

May I begin by telling you a bit about myself? I am a Pole Vault Nobody. In fact, I have been assigned by the Monitor of this board as PV Wannabe. Unless I am mistaken, the assignment of "PV Wannabe" is based solely on the number of posts made. As you make more posts, your descriptor will...
