interesting

That's interesting that they did a study in that basis. I can see how out of HS sports, that it would probably end up that way. Not a lot of opportunity in some other sports to get as hurt as in the pole vault. I think it was USA Today that did a poll/study/comparison of the world's most deadly spor...

Went to

I went to the training room for the University, and they worked with me for a pair of days until the doctor came in. He looked at it and prescribed the meds and said if it persists then we'll do an MRI.

Pole Vault Injury

I know lots of people have had injuries due to pole vaulting, its the second most dangerous sport in the world behind Jai-Alai according to something i read awhile back, but I have something going on that I'm wondering if anyone has had problems with. I've been on a muscle relaxer, pain killer, and ...

Pole Name

We have a pole that from what our coach says, in the 19 years that he's ben there, the pole has been there 17 of them. It's brown with a gold sail piece and the kicker, its a 15' 2" 190lb pole. I think they were gonna reinforce a wall with it, cause it doesn't do jack. He told us that it just stays ...

Pole Peddlers are Back in Action

After everyone pretty much got everything they needed for outdoor season, not much has happened with the site. Now, with indoor season approaching and/or on us, the emails are beginning to flood in again. Here's a couple things to look for and some directives: 1. We'll soon be getting a much needed ...

A little late to say it..

I'm a little late as I haven't been on the message boards in forever, but there were a couple things I wanted to say. John Scott was the first elite pole vaulter I ever came in contact with when I began learning to vault 3 years ago. What impressed me the most, was that while he knew he was a much b...

UNC-G

We're in the same conference as UNC-Greensboro, and from what the other people in the school say, it's a very party hearty school. Their track team I swear has about 35 guys on it but I only ever saw two compete at the conference meet and their team scored something like 6 points total. From what I'...

Site

If you're looking to buy a domain name and pay for hosting, I would highly recommend goDaddy.com. Their rates are some of the cheapest anywhere and their ftp interface is simple to use.

State of the Site Address (PolePeddlers.com)

It has become apparent that juggling college, track, the business, and many other aspects that keep occurring in trying to manage all of these has become too much to handle as one person. I have tried to do my best to manage it all, but with everyone's contributions and support, the site has grown o...

Shirts

While shirts may not seem obscenely appropriate, it is understood that for the most part that the buyers would be people who we could consider adults. I wish you would have let me know you were gonna order shirts though Becca, I myself had lots of people inquiring as to why no one had actually put t...

So much for optimism?

If so much for optimism is a question just remember:
Optimists see the glass as half full
Pessimists see the glass as half empty
Realists see the glass as twice as big as it needs to be
