jumped 10 feet at a meet. i only jump good at meets, i blow at practice lol. i knock the bar off at 6-7 feet lol. i call it LHD...Low Height Disease. i been vaulting for about 5 weeks and i still can't get inverted, it's really pissing me off. i'm clearing bars with my feet on top like i'm standing ...

that looks like 8, lol. it's the rubber band and you raped the hell out of it. landed far to the right too, lol. i don't have the right to say anything though... today i video taped me and some of the other pole vaulters. i look pretty bad going over. i get way over the pole at 9, but i have NO top ...

collapse on the inside of the pole.. i think i block with my bottom arm. people also tell me that i let go of the bar too early. way before it's even vertical. i'm always landing on the right side of the mat from the run way. i can land in the middle if i really try to. tomorrow at practice i'm goin...

i thought that keeping a straight bottom arm is bad because it obstructs a much needed swing to attempt to get inverted. idunno, i'm always hearing about people keeping a straight bottom arm to bend the pole. i know that as long as you have a good swing, it'll be sufficient to bend the pole. a stiff...

i feel your pain. i wrapped my shoulders up for my recent meet. it helps a ton.

the only thing that i despise about pole vaulting is the injuries. so many unnecessary injuries to impede your progress.

i just started bending the pole. i'm on a 12' 6" pole. I moved my hand hold up today to about 10'. i'm not afraid of the bend like i thought i would, it feels pretty good getting it. i get good pop up, but my top form over the bar isn't that good. i can't get inverted, and rotate my body for the pik...
