There is only one Airline that I know of that will not take poles and that's Delta. Every other airline seems to take them although sometimes it takes a little arm twisting. I also would not ask in advance. From my experience they will always tell you to go to cargo because they are too big. Don't b...

It's 30 sec of each excercise w/ 15 sec rest. 60 sec rest after the run.

I also updated that post with any times that were missing.

The main reason a tip blows out is from a low plant/tafe-off and stabbing the pole in the box. The other reason is never rotating your plug after each jump. Rotating your plug will increase the life of the plug signifigantly because if you do have a low plant the pole tends to dig into the plug on o...

I would say 15 is a minimum to start getting some offers from smaller schools. 16 feet should get you over 60% at many schools. 17 feet you can get a full ride without much trouble. Also, if you do other events as well you will be more valuable to the teams.

I talked to John Besmaer and he said that they did not find out until the last minute that they were having to jump on thursday. He could not justify taking the extra days off work. I suspect the same might apply to some of the other guys as well.

I am jumping on 5.10 and 5.20 Pacer carbons. The biggest pole I have used this year is a 13.6 holding 4.95 or so, not sure about the pound rating.

What poles are you on, grip, etc..?

Thanks. If you come out to one of Jans CA camps I am out there all the time training.

Training is going great. I have jumped 18'2" so far. I am moving back to a long approach at Mt. Sac next weekend and hope to better that.
