Re: Wolfgang Ritte sets M60 outdoor World Record

Good to hear you were not injured to bad and are on your way back. We need all of the old guys out there jumping like they were still "kids." I think it puts pressure on the high schooler's! Hopefully you will be able to get in at least a couple of outdoor meets this summer. I have been ex...

Re: USATF National convention

Is it official that gloves are allowed? I wear gloves when I vault during the winter and love them. I use the type of gloves that NFL wide receivers use and the grip is fantastic. I don't even need to tape my poles. I just put marks on them to identify my various grip locations. If gloves are offici...

This is great, EXCEPT, some of us do not use Facebook! I would like to see the pictures/videos but have no use for facebook. Oh well, can't win them all.

Re: San Diego Friday Night Vaults

Matt, Thanks for the update. I live in Tucson, Arizona and have talked to numerous other vaulters here and in Phoenix that are really interested in coming over for the events. I came over last year (actually jumped well and attemped a new world record in the 65-69 age group) and am looking forward t...

San Diego Friday Night Vaults

Anybody heard about any dates for the San Diego Friday Night Vaults, at San Diego State? I went (I live in Arizona) a couple of times last year and they are GREAT! 3 or 4 pits and 60 to 80 vaulters!

Re: Looking for a good camp in the Midwest

Todd Cooper runs a PV facility in Excelsior Springs which is just outside Kansas City, MO. His web site is:

www.justvault.org

His phone number is 816-223-1956

Whenever I come to KC to visit I always go out to Todd's place and get in some practice. He is a great coach.

Good Luck and enjoy.

Re: Iphone Pole Vault App out, Droid Version out also

I just downloaded the Droid version. It works great! Easy to use. You can set the metric height and it will show the feet/inches or set the feet/inches and get the metric. The only negative is that the app only goes to a height of 6.41 (21 feet). Which is plenty for pole vaulter's. However, since a ...

John Altendorf ups own M65 world record to 3.89

Congratulations once again go to John Altendorf for raising the M65 outdoor record to 3.89 from his previous 3.84! Some how this accomplishment has been over looked. John's new record was accomplished on August 13th, in Bend Oregon, with sufficient officials to qualify this as a new record. Besides ...

Re: Art Parry Sets Indoor WR at 3.72

Thanks John. It was about time I did something besides show up and take three misses and sit down! I think I have things straightened out, at least for this week. You were not the only one that was surprised about the indoor competition! My wife and I wanted to get out of the Arizona heat for a few ...
