Looking for coaches in Providence, RI

Hello all,

One of my students has recently moved to Providence, RI and wishes to continue her vaulting. Could anyone let me know of coaches or facilities in that area?

Thanks.

Re: PV coach in Long Island

I believe the kid is 5th or 6th grade. Not sure what county but I will find out. I'm not sure that will matter however, I believe dad will drive as far as needed to get his kid what he needs. Thanks for the help!

What would be a better question, and an interesting experiment, is how slowly can you run and still jump high? I know a lot of you guys can probably jog into a plant and cap a 14 or 15 foot small pole. But take another person with decent ability running all out couldn't come close to even getting in...

OK, I need a little help with this. Conceptually I don't get it. But hey, I'm kinda dense so if anybody can clarify I'd really appreciate the effort. VaulterBoy recently had a post discussing a study showing the height vs. speed ratio which pretty much states that speed in equals height out. And yet...

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try. But I don't want to be sore for 10 days! What I really need to be able to do is run and vault, and I can't do either right now! What you guys are describing sounds like we are talking about the same thing. If I went to see my ortho I know what she'd say, &quo...

Heh, now I get why us masters competitors wait till the last second to enter these meets. Any advice on th...

Have you ever had this injury?

Hi All! I've been working hard to try to get ready for Indoor Nationals in two weeks, I just want to do better than I did last year. But in my training I have inflamed an old PV injury from my high school days. I was wondering if anyone else has suffered this injury, what it is and what can be done ...

So I have a question because my trail leg notoriously is always bent. You guys are saying that I should be jumping forward not up? That if I jump up it will make my trail leg bent? Is this correct? because I do try to jump up as much as possible and I thought this is what is desired in the Petrov mo...
