Good Warm-up jumps
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhpMnh2rnPk Had a great warm-up session then fell apart during the actual meet. I believe if I continue to jump like I did in warm ups I could clear some bigger bars. I'm on a 15'6 175, holding @ 15. My run is a 7 left approach from 97'. I feel like instead of getting ...

Better Takeoff?
Finally figured some stuff out. I think. But it's on a meet day and big poles became what seems to be a small pole. I think the first take-off is better than the second but the trail leg still breaks a bit. I think my chest drive looks good and I have a good split. This should finally allow me to ge...

Re: First Meet of 2010 (Niswonger Invy)
by tapped out i mean they've reached close to their full potential in high school. colleges want someone they can mold and change their technique to have them produce higher bars. not just what they've learned from their high school coach

Re: First Meet of 2010 (Niswonger Invy)
Kirk B -- thanks for the advice! will definately work on dropping shoulders and have one continuous swinging motion. Also I will try to keep my eyes off that bar (i'm very rusty right now haha) Where should my eyes be exactly? I know i'm not supposed to throw the head back because i will lose my str...

First Meet of 2010 (Niswonger Invy)
Hokay so, after 4 grueling months of football, I have returned to the track! I've had maybe a week and a half of practice before this meet and I'd say 15' is not too shabby for my first meet back. I opened up with 14' from 6 lefts on a 15' 180lbs pole then decided to cut-down to 5 lefts on the same ...
