Re: Kylie Hutson, Indiana State 4.51m WL, breaks pole, rips hand

Why change it if it is not broken. Gill went off and created these new poles that break more often than the old fx carbon. Why? The number one pole vaulter in the world jumps on the old FX carbon and probably will never jump on the new weave, is that not a little weird? They had a great pole in the ...

Re: Bubka says current pole vaulters lack technique

Why does Altius defend Bubka so much. If you know so much about Bubka you would know that there are many jumps where Bubka hit the bar and it stayed up, maybe not on his world record attempts but for sure on the one's leading up to it, "with short pegs they are misses". Volzing, he did not...

Re: Isi technique compared to chelsea, lacy, stacy

I know someone who trained with petrov. Petrov told this individual that you must press both arms to the bar at take off and continue pressing up. He never told him to relax any one of his arms. He would tell him to press up to the bar. Equal pressure with both arms up to the bar.

Re: U.S.A.Pole Vaulting

Don't get me wrong. The talent in the U.S is awesome. You two guy are no doubt great jumpers. I wanted to focus more on the system. If maybe a system where the best trained under one coach, if it would make a difference?

Re: U.S.A.Pole Vaulting

I have read Tim's book. I know the struggles of being a post collegiate vaulter, but what I was trying to get at is how we make the post collegiate system better. Like the better post collegiates all train with one coach etc.

Re: U.S.A.Pole Vaulting

That is great to hear that Earl has some good guys training with him. I think it is great to have a good group of guys and girls training under the same system. A system that we know works.
