Re: Pole Vault Pits

You might hit up Ritchie Athletics in Frankfort IN if you can't find anything local. They sold me a full pit (various manufacturers) and a decent cover for scrap foam pricing.

Re: Pacer One compared to "standard" poles

I wanted to reply back to this post to give a review of the pole we ended up getting. After a good deal of searching, I decided to buy a new 13-160 PacerOne for my son. My goal for the PacerOne was to use it as a transition pole as he continues to improve this summer. Even though the pole hasn't see...

Re: Flex on older, small pole

I finally had the chance to measure the Pacer III. It is labeled as a 12' 100lb pole but only measures 11'. That answers the question. I hung a 25lb weight on the pole and compared it to an unmolested 11-120 Mystic we have on hand (poles were supported at the very ends). The Mystic sagged about a ha...

Re: Flex on older, small pole

Thanks for the response GP. I'll take a look at the label and then measure it to see if it's been cut down. That would make sense if it has been shortened. I recently looked at the Pacer One line for my daughter as I own a 13-160 intermediate pole for my son. It was a nice stepping stone to get him ...

Flex on older, small pole

My daughter is a 5'4" 110 lb incoming freshman who has been learning fundamentals of vaulting for the last few months. She is using an older Pacer III 10' pole that is rated for 80-100 lb vaulters. At this stage we've been focusing on carrying the pole, pop ups, and short run ups etc. I was a b...

Re: Pacer One compared to "standard" poles

I appreciate the feedback. I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled for used poles and I'll look into the rental option. Our school has a few poles that we aren't using so I'll see if I can offer them up as a temporary trade if possible.

Pacer One compared to "standard" poles

My son is to the point of needing a series of poles and the cost will likely need to be covered by me. He is a 5'9", 148 lb sophomore who jumps 12' (on occasion in practice) on a 13-150 Spirit. He is now out jumping his pole. I recently noticed the pricing on Gill's Pacer 1 pole line. His Spiri...
