I am still looking for anything about pole vaulting and st. louis. Anywhere anyone knows of to train? Somewhere with rings or a high bar? Anyone needing a training partner?

Training in St. Louis

I just moved to St. Louis and I am looking for somewhere to vault this winter. Does anyone know of any indoor facilities in the area and if there are any vault clubs around. If you want to train for XC and run well at it then my advice would be to simply do some fast strides at the end of every run. These will remind your body that it needs to do more than run long and easy. the reason why most distance runners lose their explosive ability is because they dont use it. Y...

Ok....Thanks and yes we use skypoles. I was jsut a little worried because I hadnt seen any other poles like that at meets but I don't think I have seen any other skypoles at any college meets so I guess thats y.

Thanks again. Also I am curious about our poles. This is the first year we have had pole vault and we only could afford two poles.
