Re: eh, 5-left PR I guess

Some of the jumps towards the end it looked as if your swing was slower, but that is more than likely from everything else. I noticed the flat takeoff as well, but a pr is a pr :D As long as you're healing up and feeling better, you'll start to get better. Good luck! P.S. Too bad I'm red shirting in...

You really don't want to do that, video would really help the most here, but my best suggestion is to work on your swing on the high bar. Try working on bubka's, as well as swinging bubka's. And when you take off, try to a...

Just to add in a little, in your frame comparisons, you're also under and that will affect your arms some.

BTW Great song in that last video you posted

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN-yocG4yCY That link will work to his latest meet. On your approach it seems like you almost slow down in the middle and then try to pick it back up right before the end. Try to do more of an all out sprint, and I would say keep your run to 6 for right now. Don't worr...

Re: finally on 15'6 poles

The biggest thing I noticed in this jump is that you were inside. Before you were even off the ground, your ahead of your top hand and the pole is already getting pretty loaded. It looked like that hurt your jump more than anything. Nice jump though! Starting to look like your dad in these videos no...

Re: shin splints

here's a link to the dorsi flexion exercise i was talking about. You can do this on the ground also, we just always do it on a bench with our feet hanging off because you can go a little further.

Re: shin splints

You should also (especially now if it's preseason) work on strengthening the muscles around your shins and make sure you stretch!! Walking on your heels for a certain distance and then for the same distance on just the balls on your feet (like you have heels on if that makes sense) do it maybe 2-3 t...
