Re: Help: Can only jump 8'6

If you do everything else correctly your turn will be very natural and you wont have to worry about it much. I have just learned the importance of straight pole stuff and I agree..straight pole AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

Re: Kortney Ross 13'0 Junior, San Diego

Thats awesome! Her speed is incredible. If she can fix her technique she'd have 13-6 and 14-0 would be coming :D

Re: Turning Over/Speed

yeah sprinting speed is best gained by sprinting.

As for the turn it is very simple as others have said. Just turn. An easy way is to turn your head when you want to turn and usually your body will follow. It is really that simple

Good Luck

Emily has been really positive about it all from what I've seen and still never misses practice. She is really nice and incredibly helpful too! I hope she does amazing this season.

Bubka Question

I just got "From beginner to bubka" and its great but I have a question. it makes it sound like he does absolutely nothing to bend the pole. like he simply runs and it bends completely by its self. is he really just letting it bend or are they trying to say they you should not be applying ...

From beginner to bubka

i have a great coach but i really like to learn and try new techniques whenever possible. I mostly want to know if there is a difference between "from beginner to bubka" and "from beginner to bubka and isabaneyva". Also it would be great if anyone had any opinions on these books....
