Re: New Project Feat. Scott Roth & Others needs funding
Cool Project. You should start a Kickstarter for this! http://www.kickstarter.com I went through the process of setting up a Kickstarter before launch and found it to be a bit of a pain. We are doing a similar thing on our website, which is a bit of a trade off between a little exposure and control...

New Project Feat. Scott Roth & Others needs funding
I have recently launched a funding campaign for The Five Rings Project, a weekly documentary-style web series that will follow Scott Roth, Levi Keller, Ryan Vu and Ryan Brown as they chase their dreams of competing at the Olympics in 2016. The Project will include footage from training, competition ...

Re: Has pole vaulting hit the bottom?
I had heard that Colwick was training at UW with Pat Licari, which is exciting. Looking forward to seeing him reach his potential. We all know that changes in technique tend to take a while to equate to big bars. Yes, we have quite the group up here: Scott Roth, Jason Colwick, Ryan Brown (4-time Di...

Re: Has pole vaulting hit the bottom?
Here's hoping that all our other up and coming vaulters can peak for the olympic year and bring back some medals. Whitt, Hollis, Scott, and Scott all have potential to jump world caliber heights if things line up for them. Miles has old-guy-power, so anything is possible. Nothing would make me happ...

Re: NCAA Men's Pole Vault - Live updates now!
In this case, that would be 16-4 3/4, although Texas freshman Hayden Clark (he had company) froze after the 'c' and the 'a' and couldn't clear it. This bugs me. If you're going to mention people who no height, list them all or just say "x number of people"... don't just call out the fresh...

Re: Scam involving someone from London requesting PV lessons
That seems like a lot of work to set a hook (assuming there are a few more steps/replies beyond what Becca got). They are pretty convincing emails, although the repetition gives them a fishy feel. "we will be coming to Illwaco, Washington."
I agree, nobody goes to Illwaco.

The new "system" gives me the same feeling I get thinking about the BCS. At least there isn't a huge convoluted algorithm to determine who goes. *knock on wood*

Re: VAULTING POLE NICKNAMES
We had nicknames in highschool. mainly because we didn't have a "true" series of poles. Here are the ones I used: "Ol' Yeller": 14' 170 Yellow Catapole. was also called "sweet butter" (pronounced Butta) because it was my bread and butter pole for 3 years. "Captain ...

Re: I've been beating my self up on this
thanks, Scott Bye the way Do you have anyone going to nationals that is using a 13' 150 and 155. Dick said we could borrow them if Western is not using them. None of the ladies made it unfortunately, and I think Ryan will leave those ones home. ;) Dick is leaving Tues morning for NC, and I think he...

You make the best choice possible at the time and never look back. I agree w/ Barto. Although it's unfortunate that she didn't make it to state, rest easy knowing that you have not only coached the two seniors to be great vaulters but also to be great PEOPLE. Really, that's why we coach young peopl...
