Received ours last week. Have used it a couple of times with the freshmen and no issues. Upperclassman used one at a meet last season, lots of complaining, but after warm ups they didn't feel any different. Had two PRs.

NCAA Rule 4, Section 3, Article 11. If you are coaching your athlete, you are considered in the competition area.

In Wisconsin, bar is raised 6 inches until 6 competitors remain, then will be moved 3 inches at a time.

Have someone watch your top arm as you swing. If you are pulling (bending) it during your swing phase, it will pull your shoulders out of alignment (not parallel with each other) which will cause your upward swing to change direction, wrapping you around the pole.

NCAA rule 6.1.4 A competitor who has won the event has the right to continue vaulting or jumping at a height the competitor chooses until elimination by three consecutive failures.

I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks the P90X is not a strength and conditioning program is watching it from the couch and calling that thier workout. My son and I did the complete program ( 51 and 22 years old ) and believe me, it's a workout worth looking into if you get bored with the off season work...

Make sure he is not bending the top arm at the beginning of his swing.
