Spencer has been coming back after an injury at Arkansas State Meet. During warmups he broke a pole and it sliced his hand open. So he didn't get to compete at State meet or Meet of Champions. He was out for several weeks and just started jumping again at the first of June. So he didn't get to jump ...

Following is an article about Jodie. She was named Female Track Athlete of the year by the Morning News. They mistakenly say that a new state record was set at Meet of Champions, but the State Record can only be set at the state meet...not to say that it won't be broken next year with the talent com...

Arkansas Sophomore 16'

Spencer McCorkel, Bryant, Arkansas High School sophomore, jumped 16' today at the ATCA Meet in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This was after PR'ing at 15'8"! :D He made a good attempt at 16'5"!

Spencer

Spencer is 15 from Bryant, Arkansas and jumped 10' in 8th grade. He jumped 14' in 9th. In a meet on January 15th, he had 15'6" cleared by a ton, but just didn't get his arm out of the way in time! The top of his vault is incredible--he has the big V going on! :D

I don't think that is true because Arkansas has had a couple of guy vaulters that I don't think are even 5'9"......
