I remember vaulting against him at regionals once. He came in WAYYYYYY too low and the wind kept blowing his pole into the bar. He cleared like 14'6 that day but came in at 10 or 11. It was pretty funny to watch

I went straight from a 12'6 to a 14', but my 12'6 was 160 and the 14' was 140. I pr'd by 15 inches on that glorious day.

What exactly is the 6 stride check mark referring to? The distance of a 3step? The midway point of a 6 step approach run?

When i vault i get pretty vertical but i dont drop my shoulders and extend off the top of my pole. I sort of swing up to the bar and turn over it. What can i do to work on this?
