Armand "Mondo" Duplantis age?
I saw where he won the USATF Junior Olympic pole vault for the 15-16 year old age group. However, I thought he was only 14. Most 15-16 year olds are in high school, and he does not have any high school results for this year. Does anyone know how old he is or why he would be vaulting in an age group ...

Re: Kurtis Maschall - Aus
Who coaches Cedric Dubler in the land of Oz? Was quite the skinny lad to be going over 8000 points in the decathlon. With a 7.74 long jump and setting a PR of 4.80, he might have a nice future in the vault with the right training. I have a feeling that the senior implements are going to be pretty to...

Re: Lets Discuss Pits
The one thing I have noticed about most all pits, regardless of the brand. The clips that hold the top pad to the main pads always break. The rings they clip to unusually rust. The straps that hold the larger mats closer together are not very strong and come apart pretty easily. Top pads are not the...

Re: Why doesn't UCS make poles for girls like it does for boys?
They seem to cater more towards colleges and elites than high school athletes, so it is not really a big deal because most people are not beginners. In college there is no max hand grip rule, so most ladies will grip all the way up to the top on a stiffer 12' pole and then move to the 13' pole and o...

Re: 16 foot clearance, close attempt at 5m.
You can not fix a jump in a week. You can just focus on the important things. The first video looked like the best, the pole was just too small. Key things. Jump on the 3rd pole the same way you did on the 1st pole. Do not sit up and look at the bar or turn so early. To get the pole to move as smoot...

Being out is not better than being under.
I think that it is a common misconception that being under is the worst thing possible and it is better to be out than to be under. However being 'Out' is never a good thing. The term out means that you are farther out than you are supposed to be. A pre-jump means they may take off outside of their ...

Re: 20 NCAA Men Have PR's of 5.50+
I think Krillov jumped 5.54 at Junior nationals or some meet in the summer. "At the 2012 United States Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships, set a new personal record, school record and US Junior meet record en route to a first place finish in the pole vault with a leap of 5.54m (18-2)...

20 NCAA Men Have PR's of 5.50+
There may actually be more, but that is all I could find of the athletes that are currently ranked in the top 50 right now (14 have jumped it this outdoor season). There may be red-shirted athletes or injured athletes that have not jumped this year. Some people have posted on PVP that the college co...

Re: Flex/Weight Ranges
No offence, your heart is in the right place, but this is a waist of time. Knowing the flex range for a certain weight does nothing. You are putting too much thought into the actual weight label. If the softest 150lb pole is a 18.0 and the stiffest 150lb pole is 17.0 it doesn't really matter. If you...

Re: NFHS proposed rule changes for 2015
perfectly ok with the 7ft and 10ft at a varsity meet... If JV meets need to be added lower, that is fine... I believe there should still be 3 attempts and 3 competitors per school. If they are worried about running off the meet in time, schools can limit the number of teams that enter, or stick to ...

DJ, Does anyone know what kind of Mid Renaud was working with? I know he is one of the only vaulters that does not really cut his step to take off. He does jump, but even when you watch him long jump over 24 feet it just looks like he is focusing more on speed than anything else (his long jump looks...
