Re: John Altendorf Indoor World Record

John,

As I wrote earlier Congratulations. You set a high standard for the rest of us. I am really looking forward to Sacramento when our age group will have you, Matti, Joe Johnson and myself. I can see a sweep in the making. I wish you good health and many happy days of vaulting.

Re: Masters National Indoor Champs Albuquerque

John,

I just spoke to Matti Kilpelaninen. He is going to sign up for Albuquerque also. I have committed to bringing the 13' 7" 155 & 160 for him to use with us. Again, I will also have the 13' 165 & 170.

Re: Masters National Indoor Champs Albuquerque

John,

I am pretty sure I can provide both a 13-7, 155 and 160 (I will verify that they will be available when I go to practice tonight). For sure I will have 13, 165 & 170 with me.

Re: Milestones

What is the longest time anyone has gone between vaults? My span was 39 years and 10 months. That is a period from June 1965 to April 2005. (Note: My two step plant and swing resulted in a pulled hamstring and another 2 months before I took my next attempt)

Re: Milestones

Bubba, you really are OLD! That is a long time to be jumping that well. Congratulations. I have not done anything to compare with that. However, I may have the highest Pole Vault in history? Two years ago I was on a trip thru Colorado. We took a detour and went over Cottonwood Pass. The pass is at a...

Bubba,

What does it take to get an invitation? This is an easy drive for me?

Re: John Altendorf breaks his WR at PDX Masters Classic

John, you are great!! And very tough to keep up with. Last weekend I jumped 3.89 and attempted 4.01. Now I am glad I was unsuccessful. Way to go guy! See ya on the 11th in Oshkosh.
