Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Oh for the record Will (Since Kirk seems to be going out of his way at every length to mock me and to make false accusations and assumptions) when you ask "Did you make that?" I thought you were referring to my post and not the Vid that PVstudent had previously posted on this thread (I tho...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Kirk, I want to remind you of the post you made on this thread on Feb 5: I'm taking the high road. This post was made by PVDaddy who is currently on your ignore list. There, PVDaddy is back on my ignore list. Enough said. Kirk I have had enough of your rudeness Kirk and I am happy to call you the Hy...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Kirk: These ideas of PVDaddy appear to have been plagiarized from Air-Strike, with just enough extra spin to make it totally JUNK SCIENCE! I do a great deal of research from a variety of sources. Yes I did get some of my ideas from Airstrike so what? These words are entirely my own. Two drastically ...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Will, You do understand that what I have been addressing right along is the horizontal counterclockwise rotation of the pole and NOT the poles rotation to the crossbars right?

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Two drastically different techniques for covering the pole. Bubka swings his take off leg all the way to the top of the pole. His legs continue to climb skyward and here too he must battle the forces of gravity in his swing. Lavillenie is not even trying to get his feet to the top of the pole. His l...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
When Lavillenie lifts his drive knee into take-off, his knee is pointed down more than Bubka's and his drive knee heel is raised to the horizontal and comes very close to striking him (If it does not?)in the buttocks. His COG is further lowered as he lower's his drive knee foot. Both of His feet are...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Hey Will, this is off the subject but, but maybe my last for a bit as I have run out of points. I never got the chance to tell you yet that my Comment "Diss" was short for Dismiss. LOL and I was showing, feeling A little extra and probably sic sarcastic humor at the time! LOL Self humor ca...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
Kirk: but I hadn't noticed how early he tucked. I'll look for that. While your looking at that. I suggest you take a good hard look at just how much faster his pole is rotating then Bubka'a Pal! Or for that matter anyones! Take a good look! Does his feet come to the pole or is it the pole coming to ...

Re: Take off step
Did I recommend to do this? No. In fact I recommended just the opposite! Stretching is a psychological problem that many if not most have a hard time overcoming. They feel a need to go to that same take-off spot (even though that spot is actually more dangerous and less beneficial now that they are ...

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
So rather than bringing his feet to his top hand, he simply allows the very fast rotating pole to bring his top hand to his feet!

Re: GRV: Lavillenie - From Stall Swing to World Record
I think this question of mine is still unanswered: KirkB wrote: What I'm really struggling with is how he can invert so quickly, without the aid of a "good" swing (like SB's), and in comparison to other 6.00m tuck-shooters? Is it possible to answer this in a single sentence or ...
