Re: This is why the new box collar is more dangerous

Remember the ASTM Rules says if you have wings they must meet -- and that is what the patent is on - the winged version -- The NCAA came out and specifically said they wanted the version with wings. The High School info has not been that specific yet. There are pending revision request awaiting some...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

If it was possible to answer then you should be able to answer why it is more efficient and prove it - not simply because you said so - or even he cleared a WR -- bar clearance efficiency? I have not see a conclusive hgt of COM at end of vault -- Then this would need to be done on numerous vaults by...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

PVDaddy -- lets be clear and honest - that is your opinion of what you see and how you view and choose to explain it -- does not make it a fact -- I am answering in that I have watched and watched and do not see what you see -- and I would not proclaim I see what others can not see or explain based ...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

So if you see something no one else sees -- not even the professionals - those who coach national and international teams and vaulters - are you a visionary -- someone reaching - a troll -- or yet to be determined - maybe it is time to tone it down -- take your visions and translate it to real world...

Counter side swing -- counter thrust bend -- well I guess you did come up with some new terms -- free world -- freedom of speech -- got to just enjoy the discussion

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

Couple points on the longer pole and shortening the chord versus return energy: Making poles longer than the 520 is not just like ok - order a longer one. The vast majority of the pole ovens in the world can not handle pole patterns that long. At Gill when a 530 was made it was made in the oven that...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

Does he drive it to same extent as Bubka did on some vault - no do not think so -- does he reach the same point as many other vaulters - different question - just like speeds used in the KE equations -- if they are not at the instant the pole tip hits the box (if vaulter is not 100% free take-off) i...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

Know those crops (last out of Steve Chappell video) show knee drive -- what is optimum? Angle also creates some deception - also would need high speed so not to miss the max point -- I have also attached this showing a youngster - taken at 90 to runway almost perfectly aligned at takeoff point - bes...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

These are from RL WR vault - not best angles but shows there is decent knee drive - "in my opinion"

not great angle or distance but look at bottom frame -

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

This is discussion - It starts with I believe -- And yes we need to look at various vaults and why that one worked -- we used to set up video at takeoff location - with arc lines on the building behind so we could better analyze the vault -- I will see about stop framing the WR -- right angle is so ...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

PVDaddy -- did not say you did - but if - you have belittled others -- you can throw out what if's but if someone else does - then it is not answering you question -- I am not a bio-mechanic, physics major -now - engineer - guilty -- I am pretty sure I am not even close to being in the top 1000 pole...
