Re: Rory Quiller

I don't think PB is the way they pick them. Maybe they look at the previous year's best performances, where did he rank in 2008? I could imagine they go down the previous year's best performance list, maybe try for a few from the world list, and round it out with the US list, and maybe a NY vaulter ...

Re: Syracuse to cut the pole vault?

I would think the coach would have put up at least some fight to keep the indoor track simply from a meet hosting aspect. ec1vaulter Syracuse can still host outdoor meets, but I guess they're not planning on people trying to fit in their practicing before November and after March (although some pro...

Re: Syracuse to cut the pole vault?

There are several comments made about Syracuse dropping the vault because they don't have a coach or don't think they can excel in it. Neither of these is the case. Re: Gill Vault Trainer

Thanks Mike, that sounds like a valid explanation. I'd still prefer a longer stubby, as I'm more concerned with a more accurate replication of the positions in the pull turn, and you could always hold closer. Oh well... if I had the ability to cut and crimp cable, I could have made this myself too. ...

Re: Gill Vault Trainer

I got the Gill Vault Trainer today, the stubby is tiny (about 12”). Since a man's grip uses up 4" each hand, you can only have 4" in between your hands, which is less than the instructions that come with the tool specify (6") and much less than my vaulting grip width (20"). Does ...
