That may be so, but I am fighting a different clock. When you have a few more years under your belt you will appreciate what I'm saying. ;)

Congratulations on the weight loss. That will have many advantages for fitness, health and vaulting. Welcome back to vaulting and I hope it is a life-long and enjoyable endeavor for you.

Re: NEW FREE POLE VAULT APP FOR SMARTPHONE

Question: Is use of a cell phone on the field during a competition allowed? I thought all electronic devices were banned. I'm asking that as a separate question for high school and college competitions. Thanks.

Re: Settling 6 Step Mid Convo

Maybe I'm missing something but it appears to me there is quite a significant difference between mids. Walker's is furthest out, with Borges then Lavillenie being almost the same, and Otto being closest to the pit. It seems about 5 feet difference between Walker and Otto.

Re: 74 Year Old John Uelses First 16 footer

On the third attempt, he cleared the bar, landed in the pit where his fall was cushioned by fiberglass shavings. Then, pandemonium ensued.

... cushioned by fiberglass shavings. ... ??? I've never heard of that. Hopefully someone can explain for me.

Re: mat thickness?

the nfhs handbook does not specify a minimum thickness in the handbook To my surprise, it appears you are correct. At least in my 2010 rule book, Rule 7-5 Art 7 states, "The material in the system shall be high enough and of a composition that will decelerate the landing." Although the wo...
