Re: Finally Over 15'

I think the run needs to e talked about as well. You are still WAY OVERSTRIDING in your last 4 total steps, which lowers your effective takeoff angle, kills some of the potential pole speed you can generate, and does not help your jump. Where are you taking off at for holding at 14'6"? I know e...

Re: Attempts at 15'

I think your starting too far away from the pit for your run, which is causing you to overstride, and cause alot of your problems with your run and plant! If you moved a little closer and actually got your feet up and down, and ran upright, it would make a huge difference! You just seem to be strugg...

Re: Jump Comparison & EXPERIMENTATION (finally 15-foot poles!!)

I think jump 2 was the takeoff you are looking for! Great pre-stretch and body positioning, and i don't think you want your arms any stiffer than that! Its perfectly fine for your bottom arm to move over your head and back, that allows your chest to drive in and get the pole moving into vertical. Ke...

Re: Vaulters running the 200 meters

I also jumped 16+ in high school, and did the 300 hurdles, LJ, and 4x100 at every meet. Qualified for State in the LJ, PV, and 4x100 and was all-state in the PV and 4x100. Also helped our team win a Regional Championship by doing the other events as well, so I guess when it comes to HS i am all for ...

Glad to see Matt Schipper got in with his mark! Was kinda worried after this last weekend and seeing how many people hit the mark in the DMR! Just want to give him a shout out and say good luck this weekend man!
