Waiting for Day Two Results
Hi, Andy: For some reason, your comment reminds me of the kindergarten teacher who had her class busy, drawing pictures of "anything you want." She noticed one little girl concentrating furiously and asked what she was drawing. The girl said, "It's a picture of God." "But honey," the teacher respond...

USA vs. USSR Dual Meet--2004 Women
If you missed the earlier posts of men's "results" for a 2004 virtual USA/USSR dual, this is just a fun exercise of looking at how the highly popular dual meets of the 50s and 60s might have turned out, based on personal bests in last year's outdoor season. United States of America vs. Union of Sovi...

USA/USSR Dual

I didn't include the decath, because it apparently was held, but not included in the scoring of the Moscow 1958 meet I've used as a model for the structure of the dual. For the benefit of Patrick and others who may be interested, the result of a "virtual" de...

USA vs. USSR
Thanks to LHSpolevault, because it's the sort of input I really need if I'm going to try a USA/RUS/CHN triangular; but at least for the 1958 dual in Moscow, it's clear from the scoring given in Track and Field News that the scoring was 5-3-2-1 for individual events and 5-3 for the relay. I think it ...

Men's USATF Final
The USATF website lists Adam Keul as tied for fifth with Tye Harvey at 5.40m. Since the results shown on PVP skip from fifth to seventh, I'd suspect that the USATF results are the correct ones.

USATF Championships Updates
With the men's vault final scheduled for 6:30 PDT tonight (strange day to schedule one of the meet's most popular events), you might want to check out masters fanatic Ken Stone's website for frequent updates on the competition. He writes: If all goes according to plan, I will begin keeping a live di...
