Me (Andrej from Northern Iowa) and Keith from Pittsbrugh made it into the finals in heavy head wind. I just don't get it - in Europe they will never turn the pits so that we could jump with tail wind. That's SOOOO STUPID!!!

I checked, some of those athletes compete in only that event. For example there are a lot of high jumpers which do not compete in any other events..

Can somebody explain why some that got 9, 10, 11 and 12 on regionals are in the list of eligible athletes for nationals? There's only one like that in pole vault but there's more in other events.

The lowest I gripped was 455 on a 5m pole. Now I grip 480 and thinking of getting longer poles. I think you're right because longer poles react differently and when you raise your grip you don't have problems with changing the length of the pole.
