Sam Ewing 17'01" State Indoor (AR)

5A-7A Arkansas State Indoor Championships
University of Arkansas

Lake Hamilton's Sam Ewing PR'd and broke Spencer McCorkel's 3 year old meet record by .25" with a winning jump of 17'01". Progressions were 15'00", 15'06", 16'00", 16'06.25", 17'01". He made his winning bar on a 16'1" Altius Carbon Extreme 16.5 flex gripping 15'6".


Bentonville's Ethan Sandusky joined the 16 foot club with a PR of 16'00". Cabot Junior, Ariel Voskamp won the girls division with a PR of 12'01"

awesome. Its scary when you look at some of the things your doing right, then look at your pr. then look back at all the things you could improve on. Your going to be jumping really big soon once you get a couple more key things figured out. (as if your not already)

Thanks Kevin! This was the first time he has ever planted from 8 lefts. We've got some work to do on his timing at the plant from that distance. He was at least a foot under all day but he muscled through it and made it work for now. I can't wait to see what he can jump when he finishes his take-off like I've seen him do from shorter runs. :yes:

i was going to say... lol the fact that he was at least a foot under was another wow. but hey you can get away with that when your tall. great stuff. hope to be up there soon to!
