I am currently not on any college track team but would like to go to some meets to jump unattched. I was wondering if there is anything special I need to do in oprder to compete.

You just need to find out how you enter into the meets. Sometimes it is online and sometimes you have to call the meet director. As an unattached athlete, there will be some meets you can't get in, and you have to make sure you pick meets with a manageable opening height.

Remember that your NCAA and NAIA clocks are ticking regardless of whether or not you are on a team and whether or not your school offers the sport.

You won't use a season of competition, but your clock has started. You have 5 years in the NCAA (5 continuous years, even if you take time off from school) and 10 semesters in the NAIA (part-time semesters won't count against you).
