I don't know why the results aren't posted yet for the men, but it turned out to be a decent competition.

The bar started at 15-9. A number of guys NH'd there, including one of ours, but he had some really close attempts at an opening height that is 6" above his PR.

Then 16-2 and 16-8. This guy Trey from Miss St. got a nice PR and cleared 16-8.

It looked like a guy from SC got a PR too, or else was just reallly happy about clearing. And Paul Condron looked nice over 16-2 and 16-8.

A bunch of the big guys came in at 16-8 and nearly no heighted. Chris Steddum and Brian Dacunha cleared on their third attempts. Rocky Danners NH'd. He was limping pretty bad after each vault.

17-2 was cleared by Steddum, Trosclair or whatever from LSU, and Dacunha. 17-6 came down to 3rd attempts with Steddum and Trosclair clearing. Trosclair won with a first attempt clear at 17-2.

Good job to everyone! I probably misspelled a lot of names and mixed up the results... just doing this from what I remember.

Tomorrow will be even more exciting for me as we have 7 girls entered. :)

Don't even start with me. What more can I offer than a full and superior coaching. You probably would have jumped 18 feet by now with me. Shoot, you have already PRed once this year on my pole. Anyway, way to go Trey. LON

Well Trey had to go with the conference with hotter girls. I think the SEC beats out the Sun Belt or whatever conference anyday ;)

about the jump...

i ran from 6 lefts, about 86'. i'm really attacking the plant now, more with me legs and less with my upper body. all i try to do now is get my hands up when i accelerate in, sometimes i do it, but most times i run through cause it feels so awkward to do it right. i used a 16'1 (16.6 flex) older pacer carbon. i held at 15'1, so i'm thinking... 27" push off the pole? not bad for a guy who was vaulting barely over his handgrip 8 months ago.

i might be coming up to earl's sometime next week. it's our spring break. not s*** to do anywhere, too cold.
