If anyone's team is going to the Silver State Games in Reno (the meet that the pole vault summit is part of) let me know!

Has there been a decision made about marks counting at the summit?

Is it just NCAA that has a ban on letting those marks qualify? Or does NAIA have rules against allowing Summit marks to qualify also? Just wondering if theres a difference between the two organizations...

The NAIA doesn't have a specific rule against it. We submitted my mark from there last year, and no one said anything. I hit the mark again at Conference though, and we submitted that too just in case.
If you qualify at Reno, go ahead and submit the mark (if you haven't already hit auto), but I would make sure to hit an auto somewhere else just to be safe.

No a decision has not been made. It would help to have coaches who are sending complete teams to the Silver State Games to be upset that their pole vaulters marks would not count when all the other events count.
So... if anyone knows any teams that are going let me know.

Sac State is sending a full team to Reno, including pole vaulters. As of right now their vaulters marks won't count while the rest of the team's will.
