I will be doing my best to update on the men's decathlon pole vault competition. I am going to focus on the higher pit.

The temperature is great as long as you are in the shade.

Wind feels like a tail wind from where I am sitting. Better than yesterday. Hopefully it stays like this for the women.

K. Johnson misses his 2nd attempt.

Walsh's coach just told me that he was DQ'd in the hurdles, so good for him for doing the other events anyway.

Sommerfeldt blows through on his 3rd attempt as well and finishes with a NH. Ouch.

K. Johnson snakes over the bar on his 3rd attempt. It's stil jiggling, but it stays up.

Now they are moving up to the next height.
