Not Too Shabby

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Thu Jun 26, 2003 2:47 am

We had a pretty good group at the Club Northwest all-comers meet tonight. McKane Lee (Arlington HS), Fumi Nagahisa (UW), and the Canadian, Andy Miller (Valley Royals TC) all cleared 15-11 on their first try. Andy then cleared 5.08 (16-8) which is a season PR for him.

Not a bad group for our little meets! :star: Congrats on the Season Best Andy.

Ash when are you going to come up?

Hey good for Andy. That's close to his PR 5.20 in an "exhibition" street vault. Would be jumping higher if he fixed his run...

He took some tries at 5.21. Really good tries! His run was looking really fast.

Too bad he is going on vacation in Africa for 3 weeks and leaving Sunday :(

Oh yeah, this other Canadian was there... something Walley. Brian Walley maybe? He used to vault for University of Oregon like 25 years ago. He just came out of retirement and is getting into Master's vaulting.

Don't you ever look at the summer page I made? :P

There are all-comers meets every single Wednesday at Edmonds-Woodway HS (a little bit north of Seattle).

There are all-comers meets every Monday in Bellingham. A kid I know from Port Townsend was telling me it is easier for them to take the ferry up north and miss all the Seattle traffic.

July 4th, Beach Vault in Tacoma
July 5th, Beach Vault in West Seattle.

Umm yeah those are the major ones.

Could it be Shawn Miley? He was there in the early 80's. He was one of the zillion people that Don Baird helped out.

I found the results (they got stuck in the wrong part of the results notebook)... It is Brian Walley and he is 43.
