I'm guessing their junior high does not offer gymnastics as a sport? In this case, track and field is the sport and it is offered at the junior high. The WIAA doesn't care about the particulars of whether or not a specific event is offered.

But on this topic, I just published the schedule of youth track meets. The invitationals start in May. http://www.pntf.org/upcoming/2012/sched ... track.html

I don't know which of the invitationals offer pole vault, but you can email each meet director and ask. The all-comers meets and junior olympics do offer pole vault. The beach vaults are July 4th and 7th.
