Pole Vault All Comers @ Gig Harbor High School

Unread postby shaman » Wed Jul 13, 2005 11:37 pm

Hey, we are going to have an All Comers meet this Friday 07/15/05 at 6PM, we will be charging $4 like CNW does for their all comers meets.

Unfortunately it is planned to be pole vault only, but if more people want to do different events in the future it will be expanded. If you are even considering coming out you should. If it seems like it will go over well we will have one every week during the summer.

The address of the high school is 5101 N Rosedale St, Gig Harbor, WA. The track is up the road on Skanzie though. From the corner of Skanzie and Rosedale go north on Skanzie. You will pass Century Tel, Henderson Bay High School, and a gravel parking lot with a green water tower. After going past all that there will be a yellow fire hydrant. Turn into the gravel parking lot there and we will see you at the track. My Email is schaumb@hotmail.com. Hope to see a lot of you there!

I would be careful aobut having them in August. WIAA says that you can't coach your athletes in PV from August until track season starts next spring. FYI

Science geek is a smart guy. I had spoken to our XC coach earlier and she had informed me that the entire month of August was no coaching time. Anyway as a correction there will not be meets during august. Sorry for any confusion.

The WIAA manual states that we can't coach "out of season", but it also states that the out of season period for spring sports doesn't begin until the first day of fall sports practice, which is August 22nd according to the WIAA calendar......

There's a no contact period for all sports that is like 2 weeks before that or something.
