Yes we will have multiple divisions. Typically we have 2 girls, 2-3 mens sections.

Afraid not. I am back in Texas and mainly competing around the area, but I will be in SC for the street vault.

I am definitely interested in going but transportation seems to be the only issue as I am a broke unattached vaulter. Unless someone may be driving down from the mid atlantic region?

any idea on opening heights??

We will likely choose the opening heights a few days before the meet. We want every one to be able to clear a couple bars, but at the same time we want everyone to have a chance to jump before it gets dark and we must get the Elite vault started on time, it is why the festival sponsors us... We can't start too early otherwise people have not arrived to the festival, and the cool part about this is the fact that 8,000 people will be there, live bands and approximately 500 people will be surrounding the pit and in our area watching you jump at any given time. So.....we will likely start low enough for everyone to get a bar, but we may move the bar up fairly quickly (20cm) through the lower heights so that the competition does not go on forever. You can see last years results here:

This will give you an idea, but we welcome vaulters of all ages and abilities, so if you come jump we will put up a bar you can have a fair shot at. If you want to ask about any specifics you can always send me a PM, and I will be happy to give you any info I can.

This Crawfish Street Vault is a great opportunity for all pole vaulters, coaches, and anyone who enjoys watching the pole vault. I jumped in the street vault last year and had a great time. Conditions were incredible with more than 500 spectators cheering everyone on as they jumped. If you do not have a meet scheduled May 2 everyone, (from young to old) is welcome. If you do not plan on competing and/or finished competing the food is great.
