Two great competitions.

UCONN-bound Matt Alexander of Windham Tech took the Boys vault at 15-0 and gave the Meet Record a good try, missing at 15-4. Mike Mendelsohn needed a 3rd attempt clearance at 14-0 to snatch 2nd place from Babcock (who equalled his PR at 13-6), and then topped it off with his own 14-6 PR, making it look easy!

The Girls competition came down to the duel that everyone had expected between East Lyme's Lauren Bennett and Kim Johnson of Norwich Free Academy. In the end, they both cleared 11-0 but Johnson won by clearing the height on her first attempt, Bennett needing two tries. Each girl had very close attempts at tying the Meet Record of 11-6.
