You just have to see how fast Brian flies down the runway!

I'm sure it was a scare with U of Missouri just around the corner. We're glad Brian is OK

interesting stuff.

how about this pole break (mine in may)

12'4 140 Altius, fairly old.
fast run, maybe sat back too much? pole broke in swing upward and snapped violently, came completely apart and the two pieces flew in opposite directions. snapped clean off right in the middle, to within an inch or two. like a 6'1 piece and a 6'3 piece. i kept going straight and landed just past the box.

so any idea what that came from? technique flaw, old pole, or damage? cause none of the reasons mentioned a break right down the middle. is it necessarily pole damage? i just thought this was wierd since i weigh 120 on a 140 pole and it snapped like that (i bend it but not overly much)

thanks
