At the sectional meet in Blue Springs, Missouri (a state HS qualification meet) last year, Joe Martinez missed his first two attempts at the opening height. On his last attempt, he pulled up short at the very last minute, turned around and headed back down the runway for another try. The tip of the pole had entered the box and as Joe turned around, he apparently touched the “bunsâ€Â
