One-handed handstand legs closed...

Unread postby J_Gal » Fri Feb 22, 2008 1:49 am

does anyone know anybody with a video of someone doing a one-handed handstand with their legs together? I would really like to see it!!! It seems INCREDIBLY hard to do, but possible (I hope). It would probably have to be on a bar of some sort, or a block. But yeah, PLEASE help me find video!!!
Thanks,
Jess

Those were nice! I can only do it for a few seconds (without a wall). If ym legs are apart though, it's much better!

WOW, those videos are AWESOME!!!! Any more?
And I wouldn't exactly say there was a bet... But one of our vaulters was thinking it was physically IMPOSSIBLE to do one with your feet closed, because of the lack of balance control from side to side... I said that strength and firmness can be used to achieve that balance, it's what we have stabilizing muscles for :) so not exactly a bet, but I was wanting to make a point, that it is POSSIBLE! It may be easier to do it with legs open, but it is possible to do it with them closed.... for super strong/coordinated/amazing athletes!

Again, any more videos... I'm very impressed by these, and can't find any on my own...

Thanks everyone!
Jess

There was an awesome one done by an acrobat at the Tylenol Gymnastics and Figure Skating Spectacular. She was on top of a guy and did an one armed handstand, legs together. It was really good.

This is a longer video but if you want to see some strong and balanced athletes take a few minutes to watch this.
