Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anybody has ever used super glue to hold together poped blisteres on the hand from vaulting?

I am nearing our indoor confrence meet this weekend, and at the last meet i ripped off a nice callus that i had built up over the indoor season. it blead quite a bit. i am trying to come up with some ways to practice this week without ripping the new skin open again, any one used super glue or anything else to porject this area.

The blister /callus formed just to the left of the base of the middle finger...

Thanks!

If you are NCAA you can wear a glove. If you are HS supper glue might be your best shot. Maybe try it at practice first, see how it works. Good luck!

Try the glue or at least practice with some tape to hold it in place till the meet.

Also make sure you are letting it dry up at night. Wipe it with alcohol, it hurts like hell but it drys the area up nice, and make sure you are letting it air out at night.

There is this stuff called Liquid Skin that I think is pretty much just like super glue but has disinfectant in it. Either way, what ever you do is going to burn like crazy! I recommend medical tape.

Superglue is a staple in my bag. I do suggest that, once the open wound heals, take a bic razor and shave down the callas to a smooth surface so it doesn't rip open again.
