After 8 weeks of hills, stadiums and other painful conditioning workouts, I took my 1st of 10 practice jumps at 0635 EST. Overall, I felt really good...we'll see what the next 6 weeks brings.

I'm four weeks into conditioning and will take my first few jumps next week. No long approaches for a while though. Just knocking the rust off for now.

Ive been doing speed and lift workouts, vaulting once a week from 5 rights. Got into a little competition the other day with a bungee, cleared 13'9 from my 5 :P. We are getting back into it though.

our team has been "drilling" for about 4 weeks now. the drilling started as 2s and 3s. No bend, focus on various things. And has progressed to some 5 left vaulting bungees fun stuff like that.

We break out the pits next Monday for the first time this season (and it's outside.. in the cold, GRRRR)

But anyways, I wanna make sure that we're doing the right things to start off... should we just be doing short run stuff with drills without bending the pole?

grrr i hate you all lol. our pit is just barely in the football/soccer field so therefore, no vaulting until soccers over. and by that time im heavily into wrestling season adn dont have the time to vault. ill probably get some jump time over thanksgiving and winter breaks, hopefully, and im goin to bell athletics over new years.
