Oops! Men's Final, Final?

Apparently when I posted the men's Euro Champs "results" earlier, the event was still in progress. Jeroen de Wilt writes:

Thanks Roger, but these are not the final results of the final

Pavlov did win the gold medal, but it was Yurchenko who took the silver
medal.
The Russian set a PB with 5,90m, equalling the Championship record. The
jumps on TV showed a real good clearance of Pavlov at this height, and he
did indeed one [extra] attempt at 6 meters. At that time he had already
won...:

Pavlov takes Men's Pole Vault title with a world-leading performance

Igor Pavlov (RUS) moved squarely into super-elite status in the Men's
Pole vault with a PB and world-leading 5.90 performance to take the gold
medal. Already the world indoor champion from last year, the 25-year-old
Russian moved into the top twenty of all-time with this ten-centimetre
improvement of his previous career best.

Denys Yurchenko (UKR) had passed his final two attempts at 5.90,
forcing the competition to move to 5.95, where he failed twice and took the
silver medal off a 5.85 PB leap. With no other vaulter remaining, and with
two attempts left at 5.95, Pavlov passed to 6.00, but let the time expire on
his first effort there before retiring for the evening to savour the win.

Defending champion Tim Lobinger (GER) won the bronze at 5.80, as his
teammate Björn Otto--who was a last-minute replacement for the ill Danny
Ecker--took fourth at 5.70.
