I didn't have a buffet but I thought Rosie's Diner was pretty decent and had good pricing. Plus they are open 24/7. Bubba

wow, everyones hating on the buffet... i actually liked it.. haha. crab, shrimp, Prime rib, mussels, chicken, kalbi, and lots of desserts. and for only 15 bucks... i thought it was a deal. rosies was good too though. salmon...chowder...

anyone like the livestock over the GSR as a vault site?

what was up with the band at the elite comp...they were called upon so many times, and didn't rise to the challenge...

They were supposed to play between the B group and elites but those ended up overlapping. At the end the athletes wanted them to play, but Elaine Fraley had insisted that they not play until the competing was over, so there was some confusion about what they should do.

oo ic, mrs. Fraley's reasoning probabaly makes sense. Too bad for the band that everyone was gone by the time the competition was over...

Hey! You've got some nerve! At least they're showing up!

We're back at the Livestock Arena. You would have had a blast. They wouldn't serve beer, though.

That seems to be the consensus. The diner (Rosie's) is okay, though.

I thought overall, the Nugget is a nice upgrade over the Grand Sierra, especially for the price. Plusses included covered parking, large and clean rooms and good lighting throughout the hotel. I didn't feel like I was getting hypnotized by the wallpaper in the dark hallways like at the Grand Sierra. In addition, I thought in general the service was pretty good. The workers were friendly and had a knack for remembering names.

My gripes are that the air quality was poor, considering that there weren't many smokers (or people, for that matter) and that there was not 24 hour store to get stuff. There was also no place to buy electrolyte drinks. That's really stupid on the part of the hotel, because some people drink way less when they can't find electrolyte drinks.

Some of the attendies told me that their rooms had massive water leaks during the storm.

On the other hand, when I complained at midnight that my climate control did not work, maintenance was right one it, with four guys being involved in the repair at one time or another. They maintenance guys were also pretty cool.
