The scoop on the Nugget

The pool is awesome. It is huge and heated and actually quite warm. There is also a big hot tub. I predict this will be a big hangout area for those under 21.
The Casino floor seems a lot more cramped than the Hilton. The ceiling is a lot lower and everything is twisty turny. You can't see everyone as easily as you could at the Hilton.
There are a good number of food choices. I recommend the Noodle Hut if you want a lot of food.
They said they don't have wristbands for people like me and Jessie who look young (but aren't), but we were on the floor for awhile and didn't get carded so maybe they aren't as strict here.

Oh yeah, and the housekeeping people are psychic!
Jessie was about to pick up the phone to ask for more blankets but she decided to wait for the next commercial. Suddenly there was a knock at the door! It was a housekeeping lady who came to see if we needed our sheets turned down. She gave us chocolate! Then she brought us more blankets.
the real scoop

me too. I'm pretty bitter since I have 2 free flights on SWA and 1 on American to use. But, I have to save those for "important" stuff.

The place is awesome. Even has a phone in the bathroom. Coming by the pool after registration I saw and spoke with Stacy Dragila for a bit about her training and recovery. Traded Achilles surgery stories, causes and rehab. Then 15 minutes ago I got to see and talk to her coach Dave Neilsen.
Stacy was doing some running drills on the carpet outside the pool area and MAN does she look FIT!! She won't compete but will get a short run practice session in sometime while she's here. If she stays healthy I predict she'll make the team. I've known her for quite awile and I don't think I've ever seen her in such good shape. That's really saying something too. More later. Bubba

I forgot - I talked to Paul Richards (Altius) and he says there will probably be another meet at Forney, TX the last Saturday of January. Bubba

I wont be getting in tomorrow, but how does the weather look? I'm hearing different things from southern California about Reno. Rain or snow?
See you all there bright and early tomorrow!

The buffet is way worse than at the Hilton. I had dinner and brunch there and was disappointed in both.
