Reno is coming up soon, and I was just wondering who was gonna go and what division they were gonna compete in. Also, does anyone know which eliete athletes will be competing there. Why are there never any foreign athletes that compete? Anyways I can't wait for it!

There aren't any foreign athletes because this is the national pole vault summit. As in our nations summit. It would be wrong to go to russias pole vault summit and compete for america. Thats almost like going to another nations nationals.

I trained with coach Fraley (Fresno STate) last year. He runs the whole thing, but anyway, most of the elite vaulter will be there, it is up to Dave Neilson and Coach Fraley who get to compete on stage. Hopefully I will be up there again this year and not NH. That sucked

Foreign Athletes?

Unread postby jmayesvaultmom » Thu Oct 31, 2002 8:45 pm

Does being from Arkansas count as being from a foreign country? We've had people ask what state Arkansas is in :dazed: Jodie will be there in the high school girls' division. I'll be in the spectator division :D
That's Jodie!!

A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

Simon Arkell, the first from Austraila to clear 19', had a group of Aussies at Reno for the second year in a row. Some of them were pretty fair vaulters.

I'm pretty sure I will be going, but I've never been before. I don't know what divisions there are or anything. I could find out who will be there.
