Im looking for the name of a guy that was an elite vaulter at one point. I had the privilege of holding conversation with this individual on the plane on the way home form the Summit this year. He is currently in WI as high school track coach and defensive coord for football. He is at a town that has rive in it. His name has slipped my mind and it is driving me nuts!

the town is right out side of madison i believe.

Joe Samaniuk is the only Elite Vaulter in the Madison area that I am aware of. But he is coachin at UW-Madison. Don't know if he is coaching a high school also

I just checked and Joe jumped at Madison Last saturday so it likely wasn't him.

This guy is at a high school, he is DC for football, and the head track coach. Though our conversation, he told me coached at a school with river in the name, he said he also held a strictly pole vault competition every year, and last year they did a silent auction for a pole vault pole (Spirit) to make some extra money
