I would like to organize a street vault in Lansing, MI during the Common Ground Festival next year (second week/end in July). I just wanted to see how much interest I could stir up from folks on here.

This is a week long festival held in downtown Lansing. I believe they get 70,000+ people attend the festival during the week(correct me if I'm wrong). Its a great opportunity to expose pole vaulting to a city already heavy with track enthusiasts. There are top name bands playing every night (tonite is Our Lady Peace and 3 Doors Down). Exciting atmosphere!!

Let me know your thoughts!! or any suggestions as to the best approach and tips to get this thing rolling....

whats the date on the festival..........you dont want to conflict with another street vault. You could get tons of help up there from some local guys. PM me and I could get you in contact with them.

The date of the festival typicall runs the whole second week in July. I can see a competition occuring on the second friday/saturday of July there.

My only concern currently is that this would conflict with the beach vault in Grand Haven. I would be in contact with Coach Patterson out there and make sure to coordinate things properly as not to have both events on the same weekend.
