13' 140 sky, holding 12'3, standards 25-31.5, 6 lefts, 9' takeoff step...Bottom arm slides down the pole during swing (weird!), but not at 11'.

That and his swing is poor. At times he is a tad under, but is usually 9'-9'9...I am trying to work with his plant so he leads with his chest/stays tall and keeps his trail leg long and eventually he will swing up almost effortlessly...Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm sure it slides because the vaulter's pulling with it through the swing. Maybe a poor tape job too?...

I'll relook at the tape, but I retaped all the poles 2 weeks ago. I think he slides his bottom hand down the pole toward the end of his swing to 'help' which kills his swing actually...Weird how it didn't happen at 11'. I'll watch it more carefully during practice...Probably just a weird mental thing.
