This is a really cool set of vaults. These are great athletes and combined with the video just posted before this one, gives a good look at the progression of technique.
I personally find the use of the left arm ( bottom arm ) instructing.

With steel (aluminum) There is no left arm at take off. The hands are together and the swing is continuous. Early glass, the left arm folds and never really straightens out. Bubka, Hooker, Walker, Stevenson, etc all straighten the left arm in the middle of the swing.

Just guessing, but the bigger the pole you can move, the higher you will go.
